ABSTRACT

Data management is essential to the success of the quantitative analysis process; it is also the first and most basic set of tasks in the analytical process. Effective data management brings order to a data set so that it can be properly and successfully analyzed. Good data management also demonstrates a deep and thorough understanding of the research matter and salient ancillary issues thereby creating confidence in the various analyses. By contrast, ineffective or poor data management calls into question all analyses done with the affected data.
