ABSTRACT

This chapter guides the reader toward decisions about who, what, and how for retail supply chain collaboration among trading partners in efforts to reduce costs.1 The “who” discussion presents a screening process for confirming which partners are worth the teaming effort. The “what” discussion focuses on the type of collaboration using model information exchange and decision making described in Chapter 16, Section 16.1.2. The “how” lists types of collaboration appropriate for initiation by different supply chain partners-retailers, service providers, distributors, or manufacturers.
