ABSTRACT
Many macromolecules have ionizable moieties that can lead to charged species in aqueous solutions. The structure of linear polyelectrolyte molecules in dilute solution is a very strong function of the ionic strength of the solution and the charge density along the chain. The character of these polymers is treated in Section 10.2.
