ABSTRACT
Heavy-atom effects on spectroscopic and photochemical properties have traditionally been attributed to the spin-orbit interaction [6901]. Some of the most widely studied areas are internal [4901] and external heavy-atom effects [5201] in photophysics. See [8101] and [8102] for an alternative framework.
