ABSTRACT

Previous chapters have covered congestion and admission control schemes for wired networks and power control, scheduling, and routing schemes for wireless ad hoc and sensor networks. As indicated in Chapter 1, quality of service (QoS) guarantee includes throughput, end-to-end delay, and packet drop rate even during congestion and in the presence of unpredictable wireless channel. This chapter will introduce a congestion control scheme for wireless networks that takes into account energy efficiency and fairness. This scheme will be implemented through feedback obtained from one hop.
