Over the past decades, many handbooks on crys-
tallization have been published, such as Mullin’s
Crystallization [1], Randolph and Larson’s Theory of
Particulate Processes [2], the Crystallization Technol-
ogy Handbook edited by Mersmann [3], the Handbook
of Industrial Crystallization edited by Myerson [4],
Tavare’s Industrial Crystallization [5], Davey and
Garside’s From Molecules to Crystallizers [6], and
So¨hnel and Garside’s Precipitation: Basic Principles
and Industrial Applications [7]. Each of these works
