Theadvantageoftheadditiveorblendapproachisitseasetoimplement.The modi–cationofprocessingequipmentisoftenmoredif–cultandcostly.Itrequires someinsightintowhichvariablesaffectmeltfracture.Furthermore,suchmodi–cationsoftenneedapplicabilityforawiderangeofcommerciallyavailablepolymers in order to be economically viable to implement. In this chapter, some procedures arereviewedthatcanbepracticallyimplementedbyplasticconverterstoprevent melt fracture.
