ABSTRACT
This chapter is intended to present basic concepts of composite materials in a simple, direct, reader-friendly question-and-answer format. Although self-generated, the questions represent the mindset of the uninitiated in that they are frequently asked questions about composite materials. Many topics discussed in the following presentation are discussed in detail in subsequent chapters of this book. Readers will also encounter many new terms related to composites, which are defined in the
Glossary
provided at the end of this book.
