ABSTRACT
Much of the foregoing discussion has considered the effect of altering one or more factors, often environmental factors such as temperature, on the outcome of an experiment. However, pharmaceutical formulations are almost invariably mixtures of active ingredients and excipients. In this case, the experimental response may be a property of that mixture, and the factor is the composition of the mixture.
