ABSTRACT
Most experiments consist of an investigation into the relationship between two types of variables. The independent variables, or the factors, are those that are set by or under the control of the experimenter. The dependent variables, or the responses, are those that are the outcomes of the experiment. Thus, the values of the dependent variables are controlled by the values of the independent variables.
