ABSTRACT

The ATTORNEY should give the EXPERT a chance to rehearse the answers to these questions. The ATTORNEY should have a list of questions prepared, but should not necessarily give the written questions to the EXPERT. The ATTORNEY must listen to the EXPERT's responses and be satisfied that the EXPERT answers the questions in an understandable manner. The EXPERT must be careful, however, that the ATTORNEY does not coach him or her; what is said must be in the EXPERT's own words.
