ABSTRACT
The deposition is oral testimony that the LAWYER takes prior to a trial. The deposition is one of the most important parts of a suit, because more than 90% of cases never go to court; suits are dropped or settled as a result of the quality of depositions. It will be helpful if the A ITORNEY gives the EXPERT a copy of a deposition taken previously of another EXPERT in a similar case (provided there are no restrictions against the EXPERT seeing this document). This will give the novice EXPERT an idea of what the fmal copy of a deposition looks like.
