ABSTRACT
This chapter is about taking the first steps in a planned, deliberate, and impartial software selection and evaluation process intended to assist any organization in selecting a software package that will provide the sought-after business functionality and business value. More important, it is also intended to help an organization in selecting a software package that can be successfully implemented.
