ABSTRACT

All tangibles are inflation hedges. Their value tends to flourish during times of soaring inflation and volatile interest rates languish when the economy is stable. Owners can make money on their investments only when they sell, with some exceptions in real estate. Investors should plan to hold their assets for the long term, sometimes as long as ten to twenty years. However, to compensate for their lack of liquidity, tangibles appreciate tax free during the years you hold them.
