ABSTRACT

The integrated nature of an ERP system makes it an all or nothing proposition. One department utilizing the system, partial adoption of a few of the features, or use of only a couple of modules is not effective. The entire organization must embrace and use the system to achieve success. This is the importance of “implementation” in the LRP process. Figure 7.1 illustrates the position of the implementation step within the LRP model and its significance in relationship to the other steps in the model.
