ABSTRACT

With an understanding of how to identify processes, we now proceed to the next step which is to select the best process to work on. Is it better to work on the Problem Management Process or the Performance and Availability Process? Or, perhaps it is best to work on the Understand Requirements Process or the Inventory and Asset Management Process. Determining the best process to work on can be difficult, especially when the selection needs to be justified. Therefore, we need to use a defined methodology to select, prioritize, and support the process decision. The methodology used to select processes is shown in Figure 5.1 and is described as follows:
