ABSTRACT
A characteristic of these discrete products is that their construction normally involves standard mechanical components, standard machine elements, standard control features based on digital electronics, standard electrical accessories, and standard computer software. During their operation, these discrete products may have varying exposures that range from ambient environment to saline water to thermal radiation. Some examples of discrete products are shown in Figure 4.1.
