ABSTRACT
Capacitors are used in many industrial applications other than utility installations for power factor correction purposes [1-11]. Applications are discussed for arc furnaces, resistive welding equipment, lighting, capacitor-start, capacitor-run motors, ferroresonance transformers, and inverters. Pulsed power supply applications are also discussed.
