ABSTRACT
This chapter will discuss a number of topics relating to modeling and simulation of MEMS devices. As a design progresses from concept to a fully mature product, the modeling and simulation needs change. In the early stages of transitioning a design from a concept in the designer’s imagination to an initial design layout of the device, the modeling and simulation requirements are different from those for perfecting the operation of an existing MEMS device design.
