ABSTRACT
The continuous expansion of road traffic causes an on-going demand for less pollution from automotive engines, reflected by increasingly severe legislation [1-3]. The pollutants are toxic and contribute to the formation of smog and acid rain, and may also lead to an increase of the greenhouse effect.
