ABSTRACT
It is quite clear that the decay of static charge, both positive and negative, is highly dependent on the bulk properties of the substrate polymer, which confirms that the surface state is in equilibrium with the bulk phase. The decay of the positive charge residing on the hydrophobic plasma polymer seems to confirm that the dissipation of static charge occurs through the bulk phase of material.
