ABSTRACT
The key issue of how the luminous gas phase is created in the low-pressure electrical discharge is described in Chapter 3. In this chapter we focus on how polymerizable species are created in the luminous gas phase as the initial steps of plasma polymerization that function only under the influence of the luminous gas phase without the assistance of other forms of energy input.
