ABSTRACT
Other related methods involving the heat treatment of wood are autohydrolysis and rapid steam hydrolysis (RASH) [6] and also wet oxidation [6,7]. All this techniques suffer from contamination with other wood constituents, especially lignin, and degradation of the hemicellulose chains.
