ABSTRACT

Once prioritization has been established, the selected actions need to be resolved. Typically, a Process Action Team (PAT) is assigned by the Process Group to accomplish the resolution for each task based on priority. The number of actions that are tackled at one time will be dependent upon the resources available to the Process Group. For some of the smaller actions that don’t require a large amount of effort, the Process Group may simply resolve these or assign a Process Group member to resolve them as needed. For the larger efforts, the PATwill be assigned and an Action Plan developed for accomplishment. It is important that the PATs be monitored to ensure that actions are being accomplished in a timely manner, especially for an accelerated effort. As with the whole Process Improvement effort, flexibility is key, changing priorities will be a constant and must be managed.
