ABSTRACT

There are two primary components to obtaining a successful contract: knowing how to negotiate and knowing what to negotiate. Chapter 6 outlined the fundamentals of the negotiation process, the “how.” Chapters 7, 8, and 9 review the contents, that is, the “what.” Although these chapters make no attempt to include the actual wording that will be used in a contract, they provide suggested contents and can be used as a checklist for proposed contracts.
