ABSTRACT

The National Law Enforcement Trainers Association online magazine in the January 2002 edition contained an article by Bryan D. Cox, the president of the association at the time. In his article Mr. Cox writes,

The US Army has used the After Action Review process for several years to identify training strengths and areas for improvement. The After Action Review process has been so successful in the military that several multi-national companies have implemented the process throughout a variety of activities. The After Action Review also represents an extremely effective way for law enforcement to maximize the learning opportunities during our day to day job performance.
