ABSTRACT

Risk management is fundamental in developing competent and confident leaders and employees. Is risk management important to your company? Absolutely. The failure to effectively assess and manage risk may very well make your operations too costly after the fact. It is better to assess and develop a program to mitigate or minimize the risk in your operations before embarking on the operation. In Chapter 1, we looked at risk assessment. Once the assessment is complete, it is time to focus on how to manage the risk or hazards identified in the assessment. This chapter addresses developing an effective risk management program.
