ABSTRACT
The role of requirements reuse in the Freedom requirements process is illustrated by the shaded box in Figure 8.1. Reusable requirements components are stored in a logical reuse library and reused in new software, similar to the way reusable design components are currently stored and reused in the form of Application Program Interface (API) packages. However, the way in which reusable requirements components are identified is more systematic than the manner in which current reusable design APIs are conceived.
