ABSTRACT
When establishing and maintaining an assets protection program, security professionals must know their jurisdiction’s legal requirements where the program functions. Otherwise, the program designed to protect the assets of the enterprise may fail and cause a significant loss of those assets. Security professionals must have a working knowledge of the legal system and its interrelationships in order to apply the law properly in matters of security.
