ABSTRACT
Chapter 8 will focus on a technology formerly referred to as the Internet Protocol Next Generation or Ipng. Over a considerable period of time, Ipng evolved from a mechanism designed to increase IP address space to a new IP developed to facilitate routing, security, and the addition of functionality without a requirement to again revise the protocol.
