ABSTRACT
Thermal expansion was discussed previously in Chapter 6, since the thermal expansion is tied directly to the volume of a material as a function of temperature. The properties of interest in this chapter are heat capacities and the heats of crystallization and fusion and the estimation of specific heats and enthalpies of fusion. Compressibility is discussed later in the chapter on mechanical properties.
