ABSTRACT
After a gas or vapor sample has been collected on a sorbent surface, it is extracted by desorption using a solvent such as carbon disulfide. The sample is then analyzed using one of several methods to quantify the contaminant concentrations in the sample. This chapter describes two of the more common methods used for analyzing air samples obtained in occupational environments.
