ABSTRACT

Audits of the various elements of a safety program are important. Long debates ensue over just how important they are and how much value they add to the safety of the workforce. When considering audits, the most important thing to remember is to keep them in perspective. An audit is not an opportunity to find every item that could possibly be out of compliance or even that might cause an accident. The focuses of an audit should be threefold.
