ABSTRACT
In order to succeed tactically, we must be firmly fixed at the lowest level of abstraction, feet located in the territory. In order to succeed strategically, we must draw back from the territory, strip it of treelike detail, and consider it as a forest, finding relationships and correlations, similarities and differences. Observation of the particular is followed by analysis of the data, production of synthesis, and generalization by hypothesis.
