ABSTRACT
As everyone knows, when a slice of buttered bread is dropped it invariably lands buttered-side down. This is recognized as one of the fundamental laws of nature.
Yet, on one recent occasion, this law was apparently violated, when a slice dropped by physicist Goufhoff Pfumbler landed butter-side up!
