ABSTRACT
The number of GEMA employees had grown to nearly 800 by the end of 1938, but there were still not enough to meet the rising requirements for sonar and radar sets in addition to other obligations. To the great displeasure of the Navy GEMA now counted the Luftwaffe among its customers, which, given the circumstances, could only bring their delivery schedules into disorder.
