ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the sets of data which will be used throughout the book. The National Toxicology Program data are presented in Section 2.1. The heatshock studies are introduced in Section 2.2. Section 2.3 describes the Belgian Health Interview Survey data. The POPS data, the low-iron rat teratology data and data from the Wisconsin diabetes study are presented in Sections 2.4-2.6. In Sections 2.7 and 2.8, two examples are introduced that will illustrate the developments related to exact inference.
