ABSTRACT
In some wave/structure interaction problems where the structure is semiinfinite in extent, it turns out that it is possible to obtain the solution explicitly in terms of an integral. This expression can be used as a basis for numerical calculations and it also allows certain information about the solution, such as the far-field form, to be obtained exactly.
