ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses conceptual and controversial issues arising in the theory and practice of exact inference on discrete data. It has but a few formulas and no derivations. The particular topics of interest are:
• The descriptors associated with the term “exact” in statistical analysis, and their appropriateness in the discrete data context.
