ABSTRACT
You may already know that Fourier analysis is “stuff you do with the Fourier series and the Fourier transform”. You may even realize that Fourier series and Fourier transforms are useful because they provide formulas for describing functions found in many applications — formulas that are often more easily manipulated and analyzed than other formulas and equations describing these functions.
