ABSTRACT
This activates the lymphocytes present in the patches, which then migrate into the blood where they float in the tissue spaces just inside the intestinal lining. There, they secrete antibodies (primarily IgA), which are then transported into the lumen (contents) of the gut and subsequently attack (bind) the antigens.
