Zeaxanthin A carotenoid (i.e., “light harvesting” compound utilized in photosyntheis) that is naturally produced in Brussels sprouts, summer squash, maize, avocado, green beans, and dark green leafy vegetables. Zeaxanthin is also naturally present within the retina of the human eye.
