ABSTRACT
An imaging technique consisting of an array of x-ray sources and radiation detectors aligned opposite each other. As x-ray beams pass through the subject they are weakened or attenuated by the tissues and picked up by the detectors. The signals are then compared using a computer that can construct a cross section of the body using sophisticated modeling techniques.
