ABSTRACT
Except for CoSi, all these thermoelectric materials are higher silicides. They have lower symmetry than
CoSi and crystallize in similar crystal structures (see Table 31.2). Furthermore, many of their properties
are similar. In this chapter, the thermoelectric higher silicides are reviewed according to their position in
the periodic table, followed by consideration of CoSi.
