ABSTRACT
The importance of expert testimony continues to increase, not only in the frequency of its use, but also in the new techniques that find their way into the courtroom. Data from the laboratory or crime scene have no real meaning in law until presented to the judge or jury. Lawyers must rely on expert testimony as a vehicle for communicating these data.
