According to IPC-A-600, “Acceptability of Printed Boards,” the following general rules minimize surface contaminants when handling printed boards [72]:
• Workstations should be kept clean and neat. • There should be no eating, drinking, or use of tobacco products at the
workstation or other activities that are likely to cause contamination of the board surfaces.
