ABSTRACT
Few new applications today, and even fewer tomorrow, will be developed without concern and consideration given to the leveraging of Web technology. Moreover, the integration of legacy applications, built into a single enterprise application with a myriad of outdated technologies, including programming techniques, programming languages and operating systems, raises the need to consider the communication capabilities offered by Web technologies. Additionally, as the worldwide nature of business continues to evolve, the need to communicate across company, and even national, boundaries becomes a primary imperative in any business information-related solution. Web Services provides a technological tool for addressing these requirements.
