ABSTRACT
IQ scores of identical twins who were reared apart were highly similar. However, a careful examination of the data uncovered the fact that several correlation coefficients for different sets of twins were exactly the same out to three decimal places, which would be unbelievably unlikely, and subsequently it was determined that Burt must have fabricated his data to support beliefs regarding the relationship between social class and intelligence.
