ABSTRACT
Having formulated a meaningful research problem and hypothesis, the next step is to design a study, i.e., to develop a
basic plan
for gathering data to test the hypothesis or hypotheses. This chapter focuses on the variables of experimental designs, particularly the
independent and dependent variables.
