ABSTRACT
It has long been recognized that important features of biomedical signals exist in both the time and frequency domains. More recently, a greater understanding of physiological systems has been achieved by articulating the relationship between the time and frequency characteristics of biological
signals. The most widely used tool for analyzing signals in the frequency domain is the Fourier transform.
